SwapNeat Metadata (SNMD) is parseable, processable XML. We encourage you to download SNTool which can be used to extract the XML metadata from files for processing.

During the SwapNeat Metadata Studio Beta period, we will be consulting with early adopters and script development enthusiasts to determine the scope of their needs.

Note that knowledge of XML and text-processing languages (like Perl or XSL-T) is fundamental to developing script-based applications that process SNMD.
